Can we please get the Linux version of System Shock 2 on GOG? I own a copy of System Shock 2 on GOG but I was very disappointed when it wasn't available for Linux like it is on Steam. Currently, on GOG, you can only download the Windows and Mac versions of System Shock 2. All you would need to do is ask the developers of System Shock 2 and copy-paste Steam's Linux version to here.

I second this. It's been a while since the Linux version has come out as well, so it's quite disappointing to not see it here on GOG.
SS2 on Steam doesn't have a native Linux port, it's just pre-bundled with Wine, so obviously there's no need to bring the same thing here on GOG. Running the installer on Wine is easy and doesn't require any additional fix to make the game work.

I don't know what verison of System Shock 2 you have - mine does NOT install or function properly in WINE by default. The installer throws a handful of Runtime Errors and "Out of Global Vars range" messages, and while the game will launch afterwards, there is no sound.

I know this is an old topic, but I'm writing it for any person who will look for native System Shock 2 for Linux.

All GOG games installed via Wine will show those errors at the end of installation. Those errors happen because of missing features in Wine itself and do not have any impact on the installed games itself. If the game is supported, it will work just fine, regardless of installer issues.
