yeah, it's not the same, we are talking about the bleeding edge windows version (Enhanced Edition). there are still things that need to be worked around, unsurprisingly.

as long as you have nothing in common with gog, please let them speak & do not interfere, you're not communication partner for anybody who paid for it & experiences this bug now

also - as long as you're not part of gog staff, you obviously do not have the numbers of how many players are ok & how many are experiencing this bug, so "it does work fine for most ppl" is just your opinion
you are free to demand anything you want. and I, not being part of the official staff, am free to ignore you 'till kingdom come. so, thank you for your reports, they will be helpful when bugfixing, and now please take your attitude elsewhere, would you kindly.

my attitude is fair & i do not spread false information about things i know nothing about - like you do (and i understand it's part of your fanboyish attitude)

if you need to say it, it isn't. also, I'm pretty sure EE does work for most people (for that to NOT be true, 51% would have to have problems, and if that were the case, the build would be pulled down long time ago), so yeah, maybe you should try thinking before you open your mouth (or rather, start typing).

anyway, enjoy your refund.

DxDiag export: pastebin.com/raw.php?i=DhfVBBiH

the text export from dxdiag would also be helpful (save all information, upload somewhere like http://pastebin.com/ and post the link - you probably will have to remove http://www for the forum software to allow the link).

Edited post to include more info
I am having the same issue. Crashes about 5-7 seconds into the game launching regardless if it's a cut scene or im choosing a new game.
I have this issue but I was able to get it running by renaming the '\GOG Games\System Shock - Enhanced Edition\res\sound' folder.

I included this in the ticket I sent to GOG, hopefully it helps.
It definitely seems to be a matter of time the game has been running for and not a particular event. If I mouse-click through the screens/animations fast enough, I am able to navigate the menu and choose difficulty before the same crash.

Renaming res\sound had no effect for me.

Same here, sadly.
We are beginning to discover what the problem is. I will post a new EXE for people to test as soon as I'm able too.
