Does this game work on netbooks? Thanks. Never played this before.
Your question, as phrased, is like asking "Does SS2 run on computers?"

Give us some specs if you want a meaningful answer.

Windows 7 Starter, Intel Atom Processor, 2GB RAM, Toshiba NB 300 series. That's what comes to my mind at the top.
Should do. My brother plays on a netbook and he says it runs "perfectly". I do think his definition of "perfectly" differs to mine, but it should be OK.
I played this on my Asus 1225B, which is not much more powerful than your netbook. You may have issues (performance or graphical) if you have the stock intel graphics card, but otherwise, it will work. Remember, this game was designed to work on computers from 1999, and your netbook is far more powerful than those computers.

Still, System Shock 2 on the go was a blast!
Thanks to everyone who have replied!
I'd say it does depend on the mods you intend on running. With SHTUP and Rebirth I did experience a bit of a choppy framerate on my netbook but without SHTUP it was fine.
I'm running the GOG version of System Shock 2 on an Asus EEE PC 1015 PEM from 2010. It has 2 gigs of memory and an integrated Intel chip on board. I'm playing the game at 1280 by 1024 res (I believe.)

Works fine. Runs smoothly. No issues at all.
