I purchased this game from a thrift store a while back and installed to Win 7 64 bit. It always crashed after I enter the gate to the toy factory and walk down the sidewalk towards the center. I gave up trying to find a solution, to no avail. I visit GOG regularly and discovered they have Syberia, and having purchased games from them before (and work flawlessly), I bought a copy thinking that they have resolved this issue stating that it is compatible with Vista (32 and 64 bit) OH JOY!! the game installs without a hiccup, starts, and all seemed familiar, then the crucial moment, open toy factory gate, walk down sidewalk to center and BANG, CRASH TO DESKTOP!! Help me please, anyone?
I just tried it again, same CTD after I enter the factory gate, I want my money back. I give up trying to get this to work
if u have nvidia gpu, chceck my last post here if it helps

I'm having this exact problem. I'm running Vista HP x64 with Nvidia 196.21 drivers. Just downloaded yesterday and ran into this today. Any help would be apreciated.
I just updated my video drivers to the new Vidia 197.16 and the game runs perfect. I have a ASUS G1s lappy with a Geoforce 8600m GT mobile video card. Thanks Nividia and thank you GOG. I will continue to purchase "Good Old Games" from GOG Thank you GOG.

Worked for me also. Thanks for the heads up. i had just updated to the newest drivers not 10 days ago and didn't know these where out in the non beta form. Only mine are 197.13 for a 275GTX.
