This patch fixes many issues in the PC version of the game, also it enables you to set widescreen resolutions like 1920x1080:
http://timeslip.users.sourceforge.net/ (second from the bottom)

Just extract the files from the zip into your Summoner folder, to set a custom resolution by opening the "dinput" file in notepad and editing the resolution part.

Tested and works with the GOG version. All credits go to Timeslip for the patch.

Thank you! You da man!

Of course I haven't put the patch on yet. If it doesn't work kindly disregard the above. :D
If you do have a problem, I'd advise running the game once without the patch, and detecting your video settings. And then doing it.

Thanks for posting this, looks very interesting. Don't like stretched menus, but a higher 4:3 resolution would be appreciated.

She's working great. Since I have your ear, do you know if there is anyway to remap the keys? I'd like to alter my camera control slightly; it's a minor thing to say the least.

Also, is all combat click it and forget it?

Does the patch enable a windowed-mode of some kind?

Not that I know.

Pretty much, if you've played Dungeon Siege it's somewhat similar. I haven't actually played it for a long time now. I just saw the patch some months ago while looking for the latest sfall patch for Fallout (same guy made it).
It doesn't seem to work with the german version. When I want to start the game it sais "Incorrect version".

It depends on a specific version of the exe, so if the german version uses a different exe, it wont work. :/ It probably wouldn't be too hard to convert though; I can dig out the source code for the patch if anyone wants to make alternate versions of it.

It would be really nice if you can do that but I can't do programming. So if anyone else can do it, I would be very pleased.
Going to try this out in a bit. Thanks!
IncreaseCameraZoomRange=1 Has anyone tried this option yet?

It seems that option was quite necessary. I keep having a small glitch in the middle line that keeps blinking to icons of my desktop. I've chosen DirectX9 as 3DFX seems to make a super zoom in case I choose a high resolution.

Also, does EAX works? I added the game to Alchemy as usual but the in-game setting refuse to accept I turn it on.

Does this patch actually work? I set it to Ctrl as the console key but I can't seem to find a console? (the ModKey option)

Edit: A windowed mode would be great too. I hate that the game locks me out of alt-tab.

Nice patch! But, i have to wonder how this works. You just drop two files in the games folder, without overwriting other files or patching executables. How does the game know where to look for these files? Just asking out of interest, the patch works fine.
No one else that keeps having desktop icons blinking with this patch applied and a high resolution?

Also, has anyone got either nGlide to work with 3DFX setting or EAX?
