How to play Stronghold Crusader via LAN? I tried playing this game with my friend, I connected my PC and his notebook via an Ethernet cable, hosted the game, he typed my IP, then the game tried to find sessions, but it didn't find anything.

You apparently didn't add Stronghold Crusader's executable in the exception lists of your firewalls/antivirus programs. Either that, or one of you used Extreme and the other used vanilla.

I'm certain we both opened the normal version, not the extreme. About the firewall thing, I'll try that, I already played other games with him, like Diablo 2, didn't know we had to do something with the firewall, well, I'll try that, but it'll take some time because my friend only comes here in saturdays and sundays. Anyways, thanks for the help.

Just disconnect your internet cable from you router/switch and it should fix the problem.
