I hope, someone wiser than me can help. I am a little confused. At first, I was very curious for all of the 24 story endings, you can collect. But in the meantime, 3 of the many story and chapter choices led to the YOU HAVE DIED screen and I have to replay the chapter. So since this isn't a real story ending, I doubt there are 24?!

My problem is, there is a difference between dying and getting a story ending where you died or getting the "you have died" screen for a story choice, that you usually get, when you die in combat.
I have completed 6 paths I got a story ending number so and so, my 7th path was the hero path, where I technically finished the game, cause I saw the end scroll.
I completed another path before I finished the game and 2 further, again different paths after I finished game, but these 3 paths didn't give a Story Ending, where Reynardo died, the just gave the "You have died" screen and I had to replay the chapter?! You know what I mean?
Compared to what I've experienced in that game, I should have unlocked 3 more story endings, but got game over screens.

I got a reply and a very plausible explanation. The "You have died" screen appears after a story choice that causes your death and you haven't learned something new. And since there is an achievenment for all 24 Story Endings, I am looking forward to unlock every single one of them. But I only got 6 except for the hero path. Nice :)

Ah, I didn't realise there were endings just going "You died", I thought the various choices would likely end up with you having potentially the same story ending, but in different ways.

Yeah I can totally get into why you're dissatisfied with a "You died" screen, I've just gotten lucky and haven't seen it yet.
