In the mid southern border of the Dwarven Halls, there is a secret area you can see with Afri's Orb. (Press Left Shift / F8 to bring up coordinates. Stand on coordinates 24, 19 facing south, place orb on southern square.)
Has anyone accessed this area? It doesn't appear to be connected in any way to Merchant Geldor's locked room, nor to the Blacksmith's upper forge area.
Am wondering if a teleport in the Palace of Shadows, or one of the Shadowking's Towers teleport there, like the Dark Mirror in The Pits teleport that pops you into the secret area in the Throggi Temple map.
hmm..

Personally not sure, but have you simply tried to walk through the wall into the secret area? It may work as it works other places.
Hi Faithful,
Yes, have clicked and thumped into every reachable section of wall throughout the Dwarven Halls to no avail.
Haven't thoroughly explored the Palace or Towers yet, it's kinda tough to amble around and remain alive there, lol.
Got sidetracked the past week, sorry it took so long to answer.

Here is some help. I have not used these personally, but you could use god mode to look around then restart the game once you know what to do.
Stonekeep Walkthrough 1
Stonekeep Walkthrough 2
Walkthrough 3 and Codes
More Codes

Thanks for your efforts, Faithful, is much appreciated.
Unfortunately the area in question is not addressed in any walkthough, and so far I've not found a code that lets Drake pass through solid walls. In the GOG version of Stonekeep I've been unable to get God Mode to work (using the skull trick), tho I remember years ago in my CD version I could.
Guess I'll just have to explore the old fashioned way..ulp. lol
Thanks again,
B
used a game editor to get in this place you mentioned. found a full set of gold armor like in the gate of the anciants. no luck finding a real way in or out though. once in, i used afri ord to check it out and there is no wall that connects to a wall of the fortress. this tells me it must be teleport acces, but there is no way out once inside. maybe it was abandoned by the game makers?

It could be like the incredibly powerful dagger hidden on the first floor. Maybe there's an extremely convoluted method of getting in and the armor was meant for debugging the game, and not as a pickup.
Hi,At the begginig i believed it was a fake because i looked quickly in the SE part without seeing anything, but after i used the save editor to teleport myself here, and it's true there is a ancient armor in x:24, y:23, level:10 .
But no way to find it during the true game with no cheat. Strange.
But after that, it makes me curious, and so i tryed to teleport in several zones of the others levels, (always the parts of the levels where we aren t suppoed to go during the game, and i find several others "secrets places" likes this one (about 3o4 if i remember well).
But it don't seems at all to be some very good secrets to discover. No it's more as if the devs of the game juste delete some part of their initial maps, and just forget to delete all the items, or just don't waste time to delete them.
And i didn't noticed interesting items , just a few skulls , roc, arrows, herbs, or useless items like that.

So i stopped to continue to search, maybe there an other interesting zone to find, but i don't really think so. So you were Lucky to find this one, because it seems to be the only one that could help the next players who would want to loot this very good armer before the true time in the game where we re suppoed to find it (but it's kind of cheat, and really change the game, so i don't recommend to do that to don't waste the pleasure of the game).

Anyway, ty to report this secret. I like to discover all in a game, and i didn't find this before this post. So good job man :).
I explored this and did the coordinates wrong the first time, turning that area into a big wide open... Well... Hall. Like what I had originally expected the Dwarven hall to have back when I was a little kid in 98 playing this.

On another note. I know there's some similar stuff like this in the realm of shadow first floor around the borders of the map. I'll have to dink around it when I get some time. But there's some free potions and the like available out there in inaccessible locations.

My assumption for this is that these are area's that were going to be in the game, but are cut content. It was easier to just disconnect them, than it was just to delete them all.
