moaad1: Amazing work, I am really happy to see the effort developers like you put into making game more playable on linux.
Thanks, with such feedback it's a pleasure to work on this ;)
Update

Rename expansion packages
JFYI Stellaris works on Linux natively through official Paradox Launcher (stand-alone download, not the one bundled with GOG/Steam copy).

(and fetches your game/DLC ownership from both Steam and GOG)

So play.it integration seems to be... redundant. Unless it cuts bundled Paradox Launcher from GOG installers (for DRM-free addicts' sake).

If it seems that way, you probably only have a partial understanding of what ./play.it does ;)

./play.it is not "only" about being able to play games on Linux, there are already a lot of tools to do that. It is mostly about system integration: your game should be installed and behave like a repositories-provided application.

So for a Debian/Ubuntu user, that means the ability to install/update/remove your game using apt tools, including full dependencies management. Same for a Arch/Manjaro user with pacman.

Paradox Launcher is not used to run the game when it has been installed using ./play.it. But I think we left it included for people who would want to use it.

Just to be sure we are on the same page: ./play.it is not a games client. Not a games launcher. Not a games installer.
It generates native Linux packages (.deb, .pkg.tar.xz, .ebuild, etc.), nothing more.
