That's a good question. Native linux and mac versions are available on steam since exactly the date of original post, so I'm sure you knew about it. I hope that the patch / linux&mac branches will find its way here... delays are always unwelcome. Iirc kotor2 qol patch never arrived outside of steam as an example.

Linux user here, looking forward to the GOG version of Steel Rats getting a Linux release. I know developers are very busy people and I'm appreciative of any effort made in this direction, plus I'm aware that Steam already has the Linux release.

Developers stated on Steam in February that there will be a gog release of Linux and Mac versions. Will see when that happens.

memin: How about wine? Did anybody try it? I couln't find it on wine app DB.
Currently playing it through Crossover (currently on trial) and it works almost flawlessly. I am only starting the second area, but aside from one crash after 5 minutes in the first level, rest of the levels I had no issues.
Maybe through Lutris and PoL it works fine as well, but haven't tried that yet.

Edit: just two minor issues I remembered:
1. Sometimes the intro videos of levels don't play. So if you have a black screen, simply skip the video with B (XBOX controller)
2. For some reason sometimes my screen doesn't get any input. Simply pause the game and alt-tab to fix this.

I forgot about these as they don't really bother me.

I'm still waiting too... I nearly forgot about it!

Seriously I don't think they intend to release the Linux/MacOS builds on GOG now.

Something is off clearly. I asked their community manager about it, and she only said they have no ETA.
