So, I click on the application and the logo will pop up. The cursor goes spinny for a a few seconds and then the whole thing crashes. Is there anything I can do to get this to run? I have Microsoft 10 if that helps

I had exactly the same issue on Vista. Switching SH33W32.dll file inside game installation folder with one provided here "www.filewatcher.com/m/sh33w32.dll.112672.0.0.html" helped in my case.

You've got good timing. Give me, likely, another week or so, and I'll be announcing public testing for my reimplementation of the game in ScummVM. So you'll be able to use a daily build as an alternative rather than the game's original executable.
