I went into the sphere, then went back to base, got the comm message, went back into the sphere and broadcast all my tech.
So now even enemies are super strong. >.<

But I can't talk to the last crab guy to get the message fragment and the tree guys don't give new dialogue.
I finished their quest after going into the dyson sphere, if that matters.

After you broadcast the message with the tech the Ulooquo should have some stories you'll want to hear. ;)

Edit: You might have to talk to the other races before that too. Not sure, because I talked to the Ulooquo (squid guy) just before the Gortanu (crab guy). They all have something to say.

I keep getting stuck with a "find non-existent Saurian Research Station, get the data, and destroy it" mission.

This is the third time I have started a new game.

This is a side quest. I completed the game without doing it and searched for it later. Basically the station has drifted more than 600 units away.

I did that one.

*spoilers*

Look on the opposite side of the nearest solar system.

Talked to the squid guys.
They have nothing new to say nor storries to sell.

Talked to every race but the insects and they all have blurbs about not knowing what to do, but none of them give any indication about the crab guy.

At this point you can try updating to version 1.0.13c. It just popped up in the offline installer section. It's meant to fix some progression issues like that.

Just make sure you're talking to the right crab first: vv
The Ulooquo (squid) didn't know either, but had a dialog option for that quest. They tell you to talk to the Gortanu (crab) which I suspect unlocks the dialog option for the Gortanu. I did it in this order at least. HOWEVER, ONLY AFTER you talk to the REGULAR Gortanu in the Gortanu world (top right on the map), you can receive the message from the Hermit (crab guy with the prophecy - for me he's left on the map in the Tyn Coeden / tree world).

Hmmm I didn't talk to the colonist crab guys... though you have the option to never reactivate any of them, so you'd think that would not be connected to end game content.

Edit: Went back to the colonist crab guys and they had nothing more to say; planet is not interactable anymore.

I'm on 1.13c and nothing has changed.
Only odd thing is that the patch notes are greyed out in Galaxy; I don't think the devs uploaded patch notes. :-o

Edit 2: Oh wow, I didn't even remember those machine loving spaceship crabs existed!
I only found out when I found a redit thread after searching their name.

it seems like a monumentally bad design to have the end game be dependant on a seldom encountered possible-enemy when you've already found the prophet crab on this planet! :-(

Thanks for your help!

That's why I emphasized they're on the right side of the map. Glad it worked out tho!

I too agree that mission flow could be improved. Although for me talking to the Gortanu wasn't that unexpected. I had a lot to do in their world earlier in the game and they were all in my face, so I suspected I'd have to deal with them again later.

Ah I see.
The only time I had to do anything with them was when they first told me about them being robot directive enforcers... after that, they were only a problem because I was fighting robots in the same system.
So I didn't even register them as a separate race from crabby guys. :-o

Still, I'm happy I got to see the ending.
It's a good game, on par with Space Pirates and Zombies. :-D

Yeah, that's a pretty important part of the plot :D

I saw SPAZ mentinioned in a few places with Starcom: Nexus, but now I actually checked it out and it does look similar and interesting.Might as well try it when I have the time.
