I've jumped right into the CD special addition and the original edition of X-wing and despite the game telling me I completed my mission I can't get past the first mission on the Tour of Duty. I destroy the convoy, get debriefed and am right back to doing the first mission on an endless loop. Do I have to do other mission before tour or duty or is this some kind of glitch? Any help would be great.

If you have any of the in-game cheat options enabled (unlimited ammo and such), the campaign will not progress.

In a way, they were meant to to give you a test run of each mission before doing that properly.

Antaniserse: If you have any of the in-game cheat options enabled (unlimited ammo and such), the campaign will not progress.

In a way, they were meant to to give you a test run of each mission before doing that properly.
The first time I did the first mission I had unlimited ammo turned on and I've trying playing without cheats and still it won't progress me past the first mission despite beating it.

Typically, those cheats options are the only reason for that behaviour, I don't think there are known glitches that can otherwise cause that

In an old topic I've found this
"They stay turned on, even after you quit and restart a mission, and if the cheats are on at any time, even for a second or two, during a mission, the game won't let you advance. You'll need to turn them off by entering a mission, pressing escape, and unchecking the boxes. Then you'll have to quit and restart the mission without them on if you want it to start advancing again."
