Skysect: Is that means GOG have older version of the game ? :S

Boilpoint: I seem to remember for the Steam version you had to switch to a cracked CD version of the executable in order to run the widescreen patcher. The Steam executable was patched, and the widescreen utility required the unpatched one. Perhaps GOG switched back to the unpatched to help with widescreen support?

Although, to be honest, I have a hard time believing that. I've seen them state that their version contains all the official patches. Plus I think the swoop track racing was broke without the patch (which was always the tradeoff if you wanted to do widescreen).
Yeah . GOG always need to release them with latest patches . It's really ankward . And I prefer updated one :)
Big thanks to Hassat_Hunter and to all TSLRCM team for their hard work over the years which has given us such joy when playing this wonderful game!
Damn, I already started to play this game with version 1.8.3... great, now I'll have to play it yet again in two months or so, with the new version coming out.
Thanks for the dedicated hours spent on KOTOR II by the TSLRCM team. I am looking forward to the new update.

They said shortly, so it's probably about 1 week until 1.8.4 becomes available ;)

Boilpoint: You absolutely should, it enhances the experience of the game. I mean, unless you don't like playing games :P

UhuruNUru: Tolya Means Testing the Mod for Support reasons as GOG Support Team, getting the mod ready for this release.
Whether or not he uses Mods is irrelevant to GOG support and not something to post about when representing GOG.
Was a lighthearted teasing reply, don't take it too serious.

UhuruNUru: as surprisingly, though we all knew it was coming when KotOR was released on 28th ‎October ‎2014 by GOG, no one thought to let them know about it.
I'm curious what this means. Who should have let who know what?
Since I can't be bothered to wait, I started with 1.8.3 :-)

Yeah, but... I already started a session and now I can't stop playing this ultra-awesome game. Actually I'm already halfway through, with 15 hours on the clock :D.
Is there any way to play this gog release in widescreen resolution? Or for that matter, even in 3:4 Resolution NON-stretched on a widescreen monitor? It looks awful when everything is so... well, fat :)
Thanks

I have added "AllowWindowedMode=1" to the .ini, which makes it playable via ALT+ENTER in windowed mode but I feel there could be a better solution.

Thanks for any help
Since in the first post is mentioned you should wait installing does that mean that your savegames won't work anymore with the update from 1.8.3 tot 1.8.4. I am kinda itching to play ;)
It's up whenever zbyl gets around to updating the installer; I don't know when that will be.

And no, savegames will be compatible, however you may not experience some changes, and as mentioned you'd overwrite any other mods you might have installed in the meantime...

My bad, I thought the sticky was for KotOR 1 only - as the title reads?
Yes, only a solution for KotOR 1, not KotOR 2
