Hi,
I cant get Jedi Academy to work on Windows 8.1

I double click to start. It kicks off okay and then comes to a crashing halt with the console coming up with this:

Any ideas? Am I even in the right place to ask this? :)

This site has an OpenGL error message similar to yours. Have you tried running the game at a different resolution or color mode?
Try to reinstall the openGL driver.

It is possible your videocard dosn't support the openGL, but I not think it is the situation since you has Win8.1.
I can confirm that windows 8.1 isn't the issue. I haven't had an issue with mine and all I did was double click on the shortcut on the desktop to play. Seems like a graphics card, or lack of graphics card issue.
As far as i can remeber Jedi Knight and Jedi Outcast are using the Quake III Engine and have issues with newer powerful 3D Cards, but i thought GOG.COM fixed this common issue.

Have you tried this fix? http://lucasforums.com/showthread.php?t=206018

i hope it helps.
Same issue, using the opengl32.dll file from the link above worked. Kinda sucks that you have to do this workaround with the GOG verison.

My kids love this game so I had to figure out a fix. Existing fixes that others posted weren't working. Thanks to all the existing suggestions I found on several sites, plus four hours of trial and error, I was able to figure it out!

1. Go to the GLDirect page on SourceForge. Download gldirect5_opensource.zip.

2. Extract the contents. Go to the gldirect5\bin\release folder.

3. Copy opengl32.dll to your GameData folder.

4. Play the game!![/i]
