I updated my fixed wrapper because it crashed in Windows 10:
http://www.mediafire.com/download/s5lypg970azzdmp/fixed_winmm_win10.zip

GoG had the same issue with theirs too, but if you want to fix it without redownloading the entire game, you can get it from here.

EDIT: Also, apparently the LOD patch breaks the NOCD patch that comes with the GoG version.
But putting this file in Jedi Knight's Resource folder fixes it no matter if JK.EXE checks for a CD or not.

Maybe you could bundle it with the LOD fix.

Strange, music don't play for me at all.
I've updated the first post with your Music Wrapper for Win 10 - that appears to be working perfectly under Windows 10 Pro.

I can't replicate the missing CD problem with the LOD mod! I do get that message when I use one of the 3D fixes linked elsewhere

I've been doing some testing...

Recent ATI Crimson drivers have broken the original 3D fix what GoG have used.

I've installed:
-> improved music
-> music wrapper fix
-> LOD fixes
-> dgVoodoo v2.45 3D fix
http://dege.freeweb.hu/dgVoodoo2.html

Place:
dgVoodooSetup.exe
DDraw.dll
D3DImm.dll

Into the main game folder.

There seems to be some issues in the way these fixes interact.

To install the games I'm using:
setup_sw_jedi_knight_dark_forces2_2.0.0.6.exe
setup_sw_jedi_knight_mots_2.0.0.5.exe

Jedi Knight

Improved Music + LOD + 3D Fix + new music wrapper = no music in Jedi Knight 2 after leaving bar
Improved Music + LOD + 3D Fix + old GoG wrapper = working but with the known GoG music problems
Improved Music + 3D Fix + new music wrapper = perfect apart from LOD issues.

MOTS

Improved Music + LOD + 3D Fix + new music wrapper = working perfectly

One weird thing I've just noticed using the LOD mod in Jedi Knights, none of the neutral NPCs move. You can push them around, but they'll just stand wherever they are; droids as well. Very odd.

The enemies still move around, but the civvies don't freak out and run around anymore. I sorta liked that aspect of it, had to be a bit more careful in some of the firefights if you wanted to stay light side.

Ergk!

I've never noticed that.

Annoying as it is - I think I'll hide the links to the LOD mod at least for now - we can't have complaints about stationary NPC's and no music!

Something must've got broken when the LOD values have been raised.

Are you testing in the first level?

The game's scripted to mute the CD music until you walk out of the bar. Previous native CD music implementations in Windows didn't seem to support this volume change, but the current wrappers do. This might cause the confusion that music doesn't work at all.

It's alright, working now! =)
The civvies run away for me when using the LOD mod. Seems to be fine.

Only problem is I've reached level 6 (the Palace one) and it's stopped working. I've asked the author about it.
So, is this mod fully working on all levels in 64-bit Windows 10 with no extra bugs?
Hi guys,

The sound wrapper does not work for me. I get no sound as soon as I leave the bar, for the entire level. Is this normal?

Cheers

Try renaming your JK.exe to something else (ex. JediKnight.exe). I found that that can fix the missing music (I assume that you meant music, not all sound).

Same problem here. The bar music is playing but nothing else. No idea why it's not working. The GOG team should finaly fix this music problem with another update imo.

EDIT: Found the problem. The music fix is working as long as I leave the game in English language. When I use the fanmade German text translation patch (gog_jediknight_de_v10.zip), it will overwrite some files that are probably needed for the music fix to work correctly. The following files where replaced by the language patch:

JK1.GOB, JK1CTF.GOB, JK1MP.GOB (all in "Episode" folder)
Res1hi.gob, Res2.gob (in "Resource" folder)
01-02A.SMK (in "Resource/VIDEO" folder)

Maybe someone who has skills in modding DF2 can check if it is possible to create a working music fix with the language patch installed. Would be great if one could use both without any problems.

Same problem here, after installing this german language patch: http://la-patches.gandimann.de/downloads/gog_jediknight_de_v10.zip
Even without the German Language Page, just JKE, JKR jkhud & jkgui i still dont have any music after leaving the bar,

& the music patch was already implemented by GOG.

Have you tried renaming JK.exe to something else (like JediKnight.exe) yet?
