First off, thanks very much to whoever put up the links to the demos for many (most) of the games offered here. It was from this I was able to d/l the Spellforce (Order of Dawn) demo. I'm working my way thru the tutorial. Is it just me or are the movement controls really strange. I can't seem to look in the direction I'm going unless I zoom in for a close-up. But then, I can no longer control myself and another member of the party at the same time. I move, but my partner just stays where he was. And the opposite is true (and Yes, I've assigned them both to the same party where I can easily pick them both). What I think I'm trying to say is this. I want to play this game like 'Gothic' for example (Except for having the additional members in my party). I want to have a view from *behind* my party so I can see what direction they're going and then when a fight develops, just take it from there with that view. If I'm doing something really dumb or if 'Spellforce Platinum' has different controls, please let me know, because right now this is waaaay too frustrating. And BTW, is the voice acting this bad in all of the 'Platinum' games? Thanks.

First off the Spellforce series is a hybrid RTS/RPG game so if you're looking for a Gothic style game this is not for you, most parts of the game can't be completed without resource gathering, base building and creating up to a 80 man army to help your heroes out.
The standard viewpoint is suited for controlling your armies and you can't lock it to follow your avatar around like the over the shoulder view however when in the close up mode the other heroes will still follow you close by and can be given seperate orders easily using the portrait and attack icons under those.

OK, thanks for clearing that up. Appreciate it!
