How the heck do you clear the way to the portal in this map? I know you can use Bloodash to clear the way, but that isn't working, as the only way to get him to attack any buildings is for him to get damaged by a Black Tower - but I can't seem to do that, either I die before he gets in the range of a BT attack or he does, and resists it - any help?

IIRC, the trick is to have him following you, and then approach the ennemy camps in such a way that you never get in range of the towers. When bloodash is right next to you, run away like a madman (again without putting yourself in range of the towers) to someplace safe. He will start to follow you, but if your quick enough, he'll give up on chasing you and focus his attention on the ennemy camps. After he cleared all enemies in site he will start moving towards your position again...

The towers right by the portal can be a major pain to get Bloodash to attack. The way I ended up doing it was getting him to follow me all the way to the southeast corner of the map, then running as fast as a could around the blades camp so that I was on the opposite side of it from Bloodash. Bloodash should be slow enough that you can get to the other side of the camp before he gets halfway across the map, making the quickest path to you directly through the camp (and right into the range of the black towers).
Thanks for that tip, DarrkPhoenix - I was about to smash my keyboard after failing to get past the second set of towers to lead Bloodash over to destroy them - I did what you said to do, worked on the first try and now I just have to grind until I'm 28, then hit Sharrowdale and finish the game.
By the way - do they pull this gimmick in either Breath of Winter or Shadow of the Phoenix?
Fortunately not. Breath of Winter has no black towers to speak of, and in Shadow of the Phoenix you get siege units that have a longer range than the towers (and boy does smashing tower after tower feel good). And ss far as I recall there wasn't anything else nearly as annoying in either of the expansions either.
