When I try to launch it just gets stuck on the DOSbox start. Thanks for nothing, GOG!

I had the same issue. What did the trick for me, was launching the Graphic Mode Setup from the start menu and change the Graphic Mode form Overlay to Direct3D. Other render modes probably work as well, but this was the first I tried and it worked. Maybe this will help you too, although the answer might be a little bit late.
