Corrently, my game version is 0.16.1.1. However, some other store says it has version 0.16.3, which was updated from version 0.16.2.2.

Is there a reason, why GOG does not have those updates?

Use Gog Galaxy. It is on par with the Steam version.

I do use GOG Galaxy.
No problem anymore, since the game was updated soon after OP. Changelog was updated later.
