I hope the game is thoroughly beta tested before release. I'd hate to have the experience disturbed by ugly bugs.

Believe me, it has been :)
thanks, thats a big relief...

i am playing the demo now, i see 320? how about 640x480 windowed?
most games have it, i have some adventures that start at 320 all the way to the hd, this wat every machine with any card and any screen can get a fitting size for the screen resolution of the game.

i have all wadjeteye games here on gog, i got technobabylon as a preorder, also have shardlight as a preorder.

i am stuck in demo :D
thinking logically i need some stuff , i explained that in the screenshot
i cant find a rope, or a stone or so to use it to rubb over the paper on the box to get the 4 digit code
i tried the code you used in your promo video :D, but it did not work...

please check the attachment , maybe you can give me a hint ? :D

You can change the resolution with the winsetup.exe in the game's folder, graphics filter settings. "2x" means 640, 3x means 960, and so on.

About your problem: The corpse is just eye candy (if you can call it that). Try shooting EVERYTHING everywhere and you will find what you need.

What you need is in the very first room.

She won't use the bolt if it isn't right, no harm in trying.

That's almost too much of a hint. Didn't want to go that far.

Sorry. Giving hints can be tricky.

I know exactly what you mean.
thanks , i found the object to make the code appear :D
it was kinda like i described, not a piece of coal but a thing to make the code show :D
The fact i did not get it right away was because i assumed that another object was electric, so thats why i did not shoot it .
Lateron i shot it and voila... things became clear...
It's a bit strange, especially near a nuclear reactor. Then again, from what I've seen of the world so far: It runs on anachronisms.

You find something like this in Fallout universe, where the military technology is pretty advanced (like fusion reactors) but the civil technology is way back (black/white televisions and so on)

Maybe in this universe happened something similar to Fallout universe... :)

It would be nice to have some more backstory, or maybe I should play this game twice...

Fallout is a special case, where the (19)50s lasted over a hundred years, and that's before the nuclear war. Shardlight just has all the high tech hogged by aristocrats.
