- This is for the now-delisted version, aka Shadow Man Classic. -

Since this game is quite open, it's very, VERY easy to do some things out of order, or possibly in an order that the game might not like.

I killed Cruz and Marco before I ever went after Avery or Jack, so when I saw that Avery dropped a Prism, and found the gateway thing, I wondered why Marco or Cruz never did.

Yeah, when I killed Cruz and Marco, they never dropped a Prism for me. I don't know why. I'm pretty sure they should have dropped one after each kill, but maybe the game didn't like it that I beat them first before either Avery or Jack. It shouldn't have mattered if they had since I would have had to go after Jack to get the necessary codes for the Engine Block. Now I'm wondering if I have to start a -- COMPLETELY NEW GAME -- to fix this issue.

I hope I don't. Otherwise I may just uninstall and give up, since I'm already kind of fed-up with the old controls. Just wanted to beat the Classic version, regardless of if the remaster is better. :P

EDIT:

So I ended up looking up a strategy guide, and it turns out that they don't seem to drop them. -- HOWEVER -- a new problem emerged:

When I use the Key Card on the final reader, the elevator doors remain shut, and I cannot progress to Batrachian.

I ended up doing the DEBUG.MSC hack and gave myself the necessary waypoint to get to the second to last boss. At that point, I sort of gave up doing it the "legit" way and basically hacked my way through it, since the game decided to break on me, and I wasn't going to spend another 20+ hours.

I do want to give the Remaster a try, but I think I'm done with this game for a while.

I hate to break this to you buddy but there is actually nothing wrong with the original shadow man.

The remaster make's the two boss's milton Pike and Marco cruz (as you said "marco and cruz" mistakenly) carry 2 prisms since there level's and engine block locations are restored.

I have to say that the "elevator" door or what leads to the Death row section is actually supposed to be activated by going to where cruz is and there is a room behind the upper floor that leads to a kitchen and a patch upwards to a drop down path to another switch.

I would also like to state that even after dropping down the elevator you are not entirely done as there are a few more switchs down below as well
