You can't play in higher resolution, but you can play in a window. Add -windowed to the command line.

Unless you're using my patch, you'll need to be using a 16 bit desktop colour depth to stop it crashing though.

Pardon this surprising bump to the thread, but I used your .exe to edit the game in order to run it windowed but it fails to transcode the video files. This means that the video files won't play anymore for any kind of cutscenes!
I have the game installed on my external HDD drive and am using Windows 10.
Do you happen to know how to resolve that? I am guessing it has to do with the video files being an old format and whatever codecs I am using are affecting it.
