So, I've filled the biolum lantern with liqiuid, have the mixing bowl with bone, the helgak flute and 3 earplugs. I equip the earplugs to each of my partymembers and try to use the Full Biolum Lantern on the bone pillars outside the village, but Maya says the noise is too strong, although I've equipped her earplugs. I can't proceed. :(

in the cave you need to pass in order to get to where you pick up the bone and biolum there is a boss you need to defeat before you fill up the pillars. the plugs are used for entering the boss area, otherwise the characters turn back

Oops, I even forgot I posted this. I actually figured it out via a walkthrough which was in the back end of beyond, but still - thank you. At least now there's a solution in the forums, if someone else is looking for an answer. :)
