... and turn it into a 'live fire' exercise? :D
That option (although you can't complete the level if you do so) earned this game immediate plus points with me, heh.
It's rare that a game offers that kind of freedom in an intro level, and the fact the developers planned for it (you start shooting and the soldiers radio for backup saying 'He's gone insane!') was pretty cool.
What do you think?

I didn't try it, but that's pretty cool. I sometimes look at this game and can't help but feel it's a poor PC port with no option to change the resolution..
The game itself is great, but... I just want that one option!!

Its a great little part of the game. "I'm definitely not supposed to be in here"
Did you know if you kill a bunch of people, and then die after you get the rifle (without turning it in of course) then you get a special death cutscene. try it out.
I played this game when it was free on Gametap. I really enjoyed it. Really cool plot. I loved the reaction when you run into one of your buddies while carrying that rifle.
Too bad Free Radical died last year. No chance of a sequel, and no more Timesplitters either... :(
The good die young, while EA lives forever.
