I´m trying to play this on an ASUS eee 1001 ha with win xp, but it crashes constantly totally randomly, any suggestions how I could fix this?

wpegg: Report soldier, Report!

I agree with you that the game shouldn't crash. I'm pissed off with GOG about a few games that have issues, however it's not fair unless we're playing ball with them. If you have a repro case, you should contact support, there's information there that they can get hold of, which will help them to fix it for everyone!

You could be a hero :)

gameon: Well wpegg, before i contacted support about games and all they asked for was a save file, which (once i found it) was ok. But now they are asking all sorts of technical questions that are beyond me.

Plus i uninstalled tomb raider. Anyway, i agree that we should "play ball" with GOG. They can only do so much to fix games. I have just had a bit of bad luck with my games recently in terms of compatability, and i'm obviously frustrated.

By the way, Sanitarium is already one of my fave games ever. It really is great, and i got it from you Wpegg. Thanks!
What are the questions?

gameon: Something about getting my dxdiag from my pc. Usually you guys get enough info from a game save. I'm not sure what thats all about.
The DxDiag is basically a text file that gives more exact information about your particular hardware configuration. This gives our Support department a better chance at pinpointing the root of the problem.

Here's a quick and easy guide on how to get the DxDiag:

Click on the Window icon.

In the bar where it's written "search for programs or files" (without quotes), type in "DxDiag" (without quotes :D ).

You'll see a DxDiag icon (a yellow X in a blue circle) pop up. Click that and the DxDiag box will open up. In the lower right-hand corner you'll see a button with the words "Save all information" written on it. Click that and you'll be asked to save a txt file somewhere. That's the DxDiag. Send that in along with your support query and you should be good to go.

Let me know if I can be of any more help :D.

gameon: Is the dxdiag still relevant even after i've uninstalled my game?
Yes. It's not tied to the game at all :D
