It seems a bit better but it's still too fast.

No. It's exactly the same. There's a 30FPS limit that GOG have put on using an NVIDIA Inspector profile, but that's it. It's just as bad.

I run an AMD card, and the speed is absolutely fine - I have had zero issues as far as that is concerned. Still, my framerate is capped at 30 fps, so that's a bit annoying when driving. I have no idea if this is the same as the Steam version or not.
Hi, my game is too fast ...

I have an Nvidia GTX 550 TI.

Is the framerate capped or did you uncap it? You could try using Saints Row 2 Powertools to reduce the game speed. Those would be my first steps to try to resolve it, anyway.

I didn't change any framerate option, I will try Saints Row 2 Powertools,
Thanks for the reply.

It works ok on some people's PCs - this is the exact same buggy release as on Steam though.
I also have a Nvidia GTX 550 TI like Pierre-Albert and game is running far too fast for me too.

I'll try Powertools but their FAQ implies that unless it's the Steam encrypted version, it won't work:
>Do you play Saints Row 2 through Steam? If you bought it elsewhere, Powertools currently won't work for you! Contact me and I'll see what I can do for you, if you own the game legally.

Ok, update. Powertools does not work on the GoG version of the game.

Yes, it does. It has been confirmed that the GOG version of the .EXE is exactly the same as the Steam version, just without the encryption. Also, numerous people (including me) have used it and found that it works.

Did you follow the installation instructions presented in the Readme.txt that comes in the Powertools .ZIP? Note that you do have to manually edit the [speed] value in the Powertools.ini (configuration settings) in a text editor such as notepad if you want the speed to be reduced. 1.0 = 100% (which is the default game speed -- way too fast, in other words), 0.6 = 60%, etc. What setting will work best for you will depend on your individual PC, so you'll have to use a bit of trial and error. 0.9 is probably a good value to try for starters, then tweak it downwards until you can home in on what works best (keeping an eye on the timer during races or other timed missions can help you figure out if it's still a little too fast or slow).

Also, be aware that Powertools really only helps with the speed -- there are still numerous other problems with the game (crappy over-sensitive driving controls, for example) that you'll need to find mods or other community fixes for.

Problem was I was using the Beta version of Powertools, which isn't compatible with anything but the Steam version. The "release" version of Powertools worked.

Driving controls are horrible though, still, 4$ can't complain that much.

" 'Release' version"? I downloaded from saintsrowpowertools.com, and the version there is revision 5, which, according to the release notes in the readme.txt, is still a public beta, and that worked fine for me -- though I first made sure I had the required dependencies that it mentions on the site installed before I used Powertools. I assume the earlier version that didn't work for you came from somewhere else?

And, yeah, the driving is godawful (and the "on foot" control isn't great, either). I'll have to try to hunt down a mod to help with that one of these days; I know they exist, as I'm pretty sure one is included in the Gentlemen of the Row modpack, but I don't want all of the new content that that pack would add.
I run the steam version and so far i have no real problems. Only thing that annoys me is when you drive on a bike and you crash against an other vehicle you are thrown through the air and when landing you die. Is this also a thing related to the speed bug or is it just a game feature?
Cause in SRTT i don't have this.
