Hi folks!

Is it possible to make the camera in Risen 2 behave like in Risen 1?
That is - I want the nameless hero guy look at the direction I move the cam to via mouse without having to make him walk.
Playing without the guy following the view of the cam is really annoying.

Thanks for any help with the problem!

I haven't played it yet but your question got me curious.
I found this. It tells you how to modify the configuration file and at the bottom there is a link to a user made utility to do that and other changes.
I hope it helps.

Ah. Got it. It's everything about that gamedir\data\ini\ConfigDefault.xml file. And the Piranhas hid settings there that are not adjustable from within the game.

Hey! Thanks for that link.

The fanmade tool for editing the XML-file looks promising. Though there still seems not all directives been adjustable.

The directive that seems to lock the camera to first perspective (even though for me it isn't as smooth as in Risen 1, yet - maybe more adjustments necessary) is

ForceLockAlignmentToFacing="true"
