Been wondering since my first try at the game: is there any task associated with "Little Timmy"? This is a duck located near where the Antigua vodoo dealer was unconscience. Usually, if something is named there is a reason but I haven't notice any for him.

Haven't found that one. I read that the skull and crossbones things at various places are some sort of Easteregg too but don't see how. :) I haven't killed Little Timmy (don't want to kill someone's pet) and there (IMO) should be a -5 soul for doing so but, I found some info on a search that states that one gets a nice bonus in gold or something for killing him.

I want to get the $10 add-on anyway and replay so I'll likely save and kill just to see what happens.

What happens? Nothing, usually.

As you have probably noticed, treasures and gold tend to be quite common in not-so-easily-accessible (or outright improbable) places in R3 (for example, check the blades of the Calador windmill as well), so after a while things like Dagobert Duck carrying a hundred gold pieces on it aren't even that surprising anymore.

IIRC there should also be a grave with the name Big Timmy (~) on it somewhere nearby (although I don't know whether that's the case in all language versions of the game). * Calador, not Caldera, of course.

Well, they're both on the mainland. :) I actually didn't notice and read it as Calador until the correction.


Makes one wonder where the name Dagobert came from. I don't know if it is known worldwide, but in the USA, there is a comic strip called Dilbert that parodies Microsoft. Some of the characters? Dogbert, Ratbert, etc. I wonder if that was the inspiration.

I didn't, actually. My German is not at all good but I caught the jist of it. Still, there is no real linkage that I can see between the name of a Disney charcter and Dagobert so there must have been an inspiration for it from somewhere for the author involved. The Dilbert strip is still high on my list. It does explain the gold, though.

Well, Dagobert Duck is just the German name for Scrooge McDuck, a character that you might (or might not, dunno) be familiar with. But AFAIK the only point of the easter egg is that a Duck called Dagobert ( ~ Scrooge) carries a lot of gold. :)

I am, actually. Part of the Disney world of Donald Duck and based on Ebeneezer Scrooge. I guess I just don't understand how the name changed so much in the translation to German. Whatever; it's funny :)
