The game won't launch -
"There was a problem initializing graphics mode, yada yada yada."
The problem (I think) is that the game doesn't seem to work with integrated graphic cards - I have an Intel one. The other problem is that I can't change it because I have NVIDIA Optimus software and it would not let me do it for some reason.
Anyone else having that problem?
Or, rather, has anyone managed to run it with an integrated graphic card so far?

try to change your graphics settings, run the winsetup.exe in the installdir
it helped me with the demo

It works now.

Even though it only works in a window instead of fullscreen, at least it works now!

An internal error has occurred. Please note the following info. If the problem persists, post the details on the AGS Technical Forum.(ACI version 3.21.1115)
Error:save_game:unable to open savegame file for writing.
Game was running great then two things happened. First, a virus "hid" all my files but I recovered everything after figuring out they were not deleted. Second, Steam performed an update. After these two events (when trying to launch game) I got the message as indicated above and the game will not launch. (deleted game and reinstalled twice). I purchased again from GOG and receiving the same message after installing. I have a newer Dell and Windows 7-All other games work and the computer is running fine. HELP! I just want to play this game!

7, then, unless it's a really pretty custom XP skin.

The configuration file is in the game directory. The game should have write access to it. Try running the program as admin or reinstall elsewhere.

I had the same error message. I'm not very computer savvy, I'm afraid--could you expand a bit on your solution?

Should I just uninstall and install it in a new folder of its own?

Would appreciate any help, the game looks fantastic and I hope to play it!

Yes. Uninstall and reinstall in a new folder outside of Program Files, preferably on another drive.

Sadly drivers enable only frequently used resolutions by default. If you need something more unique, ie. 4:3 ratio on a 16:9 display, you need to add that specific resolution manually.

You can find a bunch of tutorials for that with your favourite search engine, or if you're extremely lazy, you can simply click here:

According to this thread, Optimus has only a supporting role, therefore you need to add the resolution in the main (intel?) driver settings. And reboot.

HI, the game works but with very bad graphics and i'm getting error messages for the graphics, any help would be greatly appreciaited thanks, ..I have updated the graphic driver, running win 7 64 bit ..running intel q965/963 express chipset..many thanks for any advice on settings etc
