Berzerk2002: The first version of RedneckGDX is available now. Get it here: http://m210.duke4.net/index.php

latest version: v0.750 (10.09.2018)
I just discovered it, I was happy to test it and everything, but unfortunately the game crashes at the launcher level, and all I get is an error message:

"Warning:

Errors found in GAME.CON file. You should backup the original copies before attempting to modify them. Do you want to use the internal defaults?"

With a nice crash if I still want to launch the game, I put the files in the base directory well it's weird.

I use the GoG version and my system is Windows 10 64 bits.

I sent an email to the author with the error log, we'll see what happens.

Edit: Well, I tried with another version than the one provided by gog, and there I get no error, the game works fine.

So I have a feeling there's a real problem with the gog version.

I use the GOG version (installed through Galaxy) and everything works fine so far. No errors, no crashes.

Ok I just realized that you shouldn't put RedneckGdX in the default directory that gog will create, but you just have to copy the required files (indicated in the Readme) and put everything in a separate folder.
If you guys want to join our Redneck Rampage community Discord, copy and paste this invite link on your browser:

discord.gg/svMyWMP

The creator of RedneckGDX is also part of our Discord server so you can get in touch with him if you have questions, and we have a RedneckGDX dedicated channel.
We are also making some custom content for it such as high resolution textures, better minimal HUD that includes the alcohol/guts meter, true skyboxes, and more!

We hope to see you there! ;)
The current update now supports Redneck Rampage Rides Again too. :)
Is RedneckGDX recommended for a first playthrough?

If you want to play it in widescreen and with high resolutions then there is no other way at the moment.
Great port, love it.

Is there a way I could get GOG Galaxy to run RedneckGDX straight from the client? I tried replacing dosbox.exe with BuildGDX.exe and renaming it back to DOSBOX.exe but it doesn't work.

Try using NRedneck instead. It's the better port imo as it's based on EDuke32.

How do you get the music to play with BuildGDX? I put the OGG files in the main folder, but the music still doesn't play for Redneck Rampage.

Make sure the tracks are named "track02.ogg, track03.ogg, track04.ogg etc" and in the Audio Setup change the "music type" to CD Audio.

I checked my settings and found the new location for CD Audio, and it finally works for Redneck Rampage!

I used your link and the file that is downloaded is Rednukem. When you run that exe it autodetects the steam version of DN3d and that is all. There are no options for making it play Redneck Rampage. I couldn't find any instructions on google on how to play Redneck rampage with it either.

The version on Github seems kinda outdated. I recommend getting the latest Rednukem (64-Bit) dev version from:

https://lerppu.net/wannabethesis/

Just put the rednukem.exe into your Redneck Rampage game folder and then launch it. It should automatically find the REDNECK.GRP file that is needed.
