This is my first gog game. I have read the dosbox readme text and can't seem to figure out if or how I can map two keys to a single key. In Redneck Rampage strafe is ALT + the arrow key. ALT+Left Arrow = strafe left. ALT=Right Arrow = strafe right. I want the right and left arrow keys to always be strafe left or right. Can this be done? If so how.
Thanks
Well I find changing key maps does not work at all. I mapped A to number pad 0 and Z to Ctrl and nothing happened. close the game and re open it the mapping change stuck but it still does not work in game. weird.
I also can't see how to change mouse options. I want mouse look for up and down not just turn right and left.
Well I'm ADA. I was using the desktop shortcuts to the game. In the start menu the game has a setup menu you can't get to from within the game.
So got so keys remapped. I wonder what the dosbox mapper does? the help files are a POS.
... where in the first place have you been reconfiguring your keys? You can only do that in the Setup, can't you?

See the games install directorydoxboxdosbox_README.txt for info.
From the game Ctrl + F1
I have no clue what good it is because the setup utility from the game directory in the start menu does what is needed.
run setup.exe from redneck folder with dosbox (install dospobox and drag and drop setup exe to dropbox icon)

use arrows and delete all keys for strafe and WASD keys from list (for whiskey i was set Qkey)

set WASD -->ESC-->ESC-->exit with save-->write exit to command line
