Don't see why; Raptor was around long before the .Net Framework.

But this is the 2010 version. Maybe some of the new features depends on .NET Framework ..
meudoland: Why do you think it does??

I don't actually have the game.. I just wonder why you think it needs .NET Framework?

and i just wonder why does Raptor 2010 Edition require .NET Framework...
Look, you've presented no proof that it does. You've just gone around asking people if it does, without any reason why you're asking or any information about anything you've done to test whether it does or not.
If it's telling you it needs the .Net Framework, say so. Tell us where, when and how it's telling you, along with "what" - The exact words used.
Or maybe you just want to know if it needs the .Net Framework. If that's so, the common sense solution is to go to your Add/Remove Programs wizard (In the Control Panel), uninstall any and all versions of the .Net Framework and then see if it still runs.
Yes, you'd have to re-install them. So would we.
In conclusion, don't just keep posting a single, dataless question and expect us to answer it. Exert some effort on your part.

meudoland: its clear i already checked it.

Then why don't you say that instead of making it sound like you don't know..
this post is confusing - this game does NOT need the .net framework - i did a quick check of all the dlls and exe and none of them are .net assemblies

this post is NOT confusing.
if u dont trust my words, try to run Raptor.exe without .NET Framework installed on your system...

ok meudoland, you are right - sorry for that hasty reply ;) . raptor.exe is the only part that DOES need the .NET Framework 2.0, but it itself is not actually part of the game. On first checking i only looked for a valid CLR header which it does not have, but is in fact a .NET executable - its purpose is to call rapwin.exe with parameters that you set in the GUI (screen size, joystick etc).
So technicaly you do not need the .NET framework installed, just call rapwin.exe (not raptor.exe) with params. For example, to start it with keyboard and fullscreen and HQ filter and 1280x800 do the following
rapwin -keyboard -hq - fullscreen -4x

thank u for your useful technical skills.
just a curiosity, i wonder how can one know an executable's parameters?...
