Well, I just played very little of the game, but it seems that no, you have to be a bloody raider bastard who enslaves weak innocent people, kill caravan traders, and fight forces who try to pacify the land. No relatively benevolent other path possible, it seems. (I don't like it more than you do. Regret my purchase already for this very reason.) The mention RPG is not relevant to this survival/strategy game. It's more like a "scumbag" simulator.
Beside that, the game is well done (though a bit cumbersome), I expect it to receive positive reviews gameplay-wise.

This is from someone who played about 150 hours of Battle Brothers (and will play it again).

No good guy option ? thats bad , i prefer playing the good guy .

Anyway, won't ask refund cause i joined to extend my game library, but iwill be more carefull checking games to make sure there is a good guy option . :D
