I cannot start a new game nor import a character. The options are both there but as soon as I hit "Import" or "Play" the game crashes. I originally had this issue with the 1.x installers but recently downloaded the 2.0 installer to try again, but to no avail.

Running Win 7 64 bit. Anyone heard of this issue before?

Never mind, solved the issue with this fix.

Delete or rename the folder C:\GOG Games\Quest for Glory Pack\Quest for Glory 5\DATA\Gqm

I was wondering if you could guide me to finding this folder. I looked in my computer under GOG games, and its not there.

Had the same problem...thanks for the workaround...it's the Qgm folder that needs renaming, actually...;)
