I've come across a weird glitch in this game, that I've never had before.

I'm playing as a magic user.


My problem is with the leapord woman \ bride in the cage. I used the dispel potion on her, so she's in human form, and now the liaben has set a bride price on her. So I left her safely in the cage, while I went out hunting for lizard men to fight, to get money to buy what I need for the bride price (fine spear, zebra skins, etc). I even went back to Tarna, and told Salim about the bride.

Now, I've gone back to the Simbani village... and the leapord woman is gone! Her cage is empty! Now I didn't let her out - she's not my bride yet, as I couldn't pay the bride price. So where has she gone?

Anyone?

Are you certain that you didn't accidentally reload to an earlier point in the game? You can buy the items long before she actually shows up, IIRC.

Are any of the Simbani NPCs talking about her or what happened?

I'm certain I didn't reloaded to an earlier point. I know I can buy items for the bride price before she shows up, but I didn't have enough money. I had to go out hunting leapord men & lizard men, and search their bodies to get money, lol.

The Simbani NPCs DID talk about her turning into a woman. I even got invited into Liabon's hut, and discussed the bride price with him. But again, I was short of money, so I had to go out hunting. I paid a visit to Tarna, and told Salim that his dispel potion worked, and I disenchanted the leapordman. Then I went back to Simbani Village... and she was gone. I can't get in to see the Liabon, and now, no-one in the village will mention her.

I don't know at which point she disappeared, but after telling Salim about her, I went straight back to Simbani Village.

Try wandering around in the jungle to see if she shows up. If she's there, you'll eventually get a screen that shows you in the jungle and it'll say "You have a feeling you're being watched." or something along those lines.

The game may have glitched ahead a little bit. Otherwise, you will probably have to go back to an earlier save.

I've looked around in the jungle for hours, but she doesn't show up. :sadface:

Maybe I should just start again. Hope I don't have the same glithch again, lol.

Cool glitch. Sucks, but it is cool. There are a few like this (and quite a few more in QFG4). Sounds as if one of the dialog trees resets the Leopard Woman. It may have reset other events also. If you try to get more blue flowers, you could possibly get more magic wood which is the trigger to get the Leopard Woman to appear, which might set the game back on track. That being said, it might be that the blue flowers are unobtainable now that you have the magic staff.
