My system:
i7-4790
8GB RAM
8GB Swap
Nvidia gtx 1060 6GB
Running on ArchLinux
The game starts fast and with a reasonable memory footprint, but when loading a saved game, Quern fills up all of my 8GB of RAM. I never played a game that uses so much ram... Anyway, beside the long very loading time, it's playable and fast. The major problem now, is that I can't continue playing because when I'm moving to a new location (after solving the central tower puzzle) it starts loading again, this time filling even the swap space... But it won't finish that, because at a certain point, with 8GB of RAM full and 5GB of swap full, the whole system hangs...
Maybe there's a memory leak... maybe some other kind of bug. I don't think that I need >16GB of RAM to play this game, since the minimum required is 3GB and the recommended 8GB.
Does anyone know a fix or are aware of some patch?
