This issue has a fix according to PCGamingWiki (one of the first sites to check if you have a game issue. quick Google should find it for you usually): http://pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Project_Eden

Just delete/rename the intro file and the game will work.

Right click on icon-> compatibility tab->compatibility mode for Windows 98/Windows me->check to run as administrator-> play game?

Thanks. Deleted the logos file and the game works. BTW putting it in compatability mode for Windows 98/NT and running as administrator before I deleted the logos file does nothing for me. Just a heads up.

I found that pressing the escape key forces it the game to load properly after each intro cutscene

Hi. You can also skip both intro videos by specifying the "-nomovies" parameter when launching the game, like so:
Right-click on Eden icon then click on Properties. Under the "Target" text box, add "-nomovies".

Here is an example:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Core Design\Project Eden\Eden.exe" -nomovies
Or the equivalent using GOG...

NOTE: This only works with the GOG version, not the CD one.
By the way, the DirectShow video playback the game is using is really obsolete and does not work properly in modern versions of Windows, the best thing to do is to just skip these videos.

Have you tried the above solutions? Do you have the CD or GOG version of the game? The fix is different in both cases.

i have the gog version and i know how to fix it with the above solutions i was intrested in making the issue blend in with the game like it didnt exist

If you are interested, I can make a patch which skips the videos completely. I am pretty experienced in modding the game.

nah its fine thanks for offering to help tho or what did you mean by auto skipping make the videos not play at all or at the and of a video it skips to play the next one?

I meant completely removing the video playback from the game, like it was never there.
