People who have STEAM, or direct download access through IV's own site, have had Update 2 for a day now.

GOG, for some reason, ALWAYS lags behind for updates.

Any clue when we'll catch up with society on this site? I'd rather not swap my Saves constantly between the GOG.com version and the direct download version.

This is indeed a bit worrying now. Did anyone poke the devs, see whether they maybe forgot to upload the patch?

Update 8 is available on steam for 2 weeks now. I do not see it in GoG. I purchased PA quite recently so I do not know if it is always like that (as OP suggests) or it is problem with my account only. I've sent the question to support a week ago but no answer yet.
Hey, GoG, guys, what is going on? Is it a vacation period that put the game updates on hold and makes the support unresponsive? If it is, it would be quite understandable but please drop us a line or two on the status, do not keep us in the dark. For it is quite lame, the way it is now.

Actually it's 2.0 version of PA that is not released yet (but it will be this month), and update 8 is a preview of PA 2.0. And update 8 has been released 27th of July and can be downloaded via steam or directly from Introversion web page (http://www.introversion.co.uk/prisonarchitect/builds.html). Why not give GoG players the same possibility?

My bad. Yes it is strange that they did not release update 8 here. However, if it is available on Introversion's site we could get it from there, when we activate our game there.

I am especially annoyed with Introversion since I repurchased the game on GOG.

The GOG version and the one from their site are not the same software, as the GOG version names itself on the title page.

So I can't update the game until they release it here.

As of August 31, 2016, the GOG installer for Prison Architect is version 8. It's not a patch, it's a full 346 MB download. And the Introversion site says the V2.0 final release came out August 26, so it should appear on GOG within the next month.
