Yes -- Dreams of Green. It's a song I wrote for the game, which the marvelous Kim Boekbinder arranged and sang. It's available as part of the soundtrack on GOG.com. You can also buy a CD with the soundtrack from the composer.

the song was different in the demo version wasnt it? or was it a different section of the same song?
if it was different what was the name of the song in the demo?

liked both so ^_^

Same song, but arranged and sung by Nathaniel Chambers, the composer. I'll see if I can get him to post a copy for download.

sounds great!
either a link on here or wadjet eye or an add to the soundtrack pack would be superb.
i look forward to it ^_^
I actually didn't know until more recently that it made it's way into the demo version. I considered putting it on the soundtrack, but figured it sounded too out of place. Consider this a GOG forum exclusive for now! (unless someone somewhere else requests it)

also, a hi-res version of the soundtrack is now out at http://bubblepipemedia.bandcamp.com/album/primordia

really liked this demo-version/original version. the drum parts + piano, the sad electronic tones throughout the lyrics section, the electronic ("white noise") sectors solo nearer the end (of the provided 'exclusive' currently track), and of course the bass ^_^
it is more of a lament, that resonated better with me.

when i was playing the demo i remembered trying to boost the volume to figure out the lyrics, and how it fit the scene well exploring the Unniic for the first time and the intro to the game-universe.

for me i liked the 'original/demo' cut of the song in-game better.
i definitely noticed the loss of the drums as a prominent feature of the song in one of the remaining relics of humanity at the end of time.
instead getting the guitar version (drums still there but muted :( ).

thanks much for posting the track and the bandcamp link.
if the demo-cut of the song got a boost of the same electronic treatment (320kbps res - remixed version - drop the power core on the electronica) to make it mesh better with the rest but kept the same vocals/vocalist, the piano, the drums, (no guitar), and sad tone to the piece that would make a great single/b-side to the Primordia soundtrack.

excellent work in any case.
some very memorable game music.
thanks again!
For the sake of completeness, here is the original, extraordinarily different, a capella version that my wife sang:

https://docs.google.com/open?id=0Bwai3IfxrQgHNFFrZnRsYU1NNDA

I asked her to sing something like What Is a Youth? in Zeffirelli's Romeo & Juliet (the old one from the 60s). Clearly this would have been totally unworkable in the game, but I think it actually captures the mood I was shooting for the best of the three. Each one has its merits/drawbacks. I think we used the right one in game, though!

thanks for some more Primordia related tracks ^_^

no need to second guess the track selection. im likely a minority on preference of the demo-version mix of the gramophone song (i just really like that version of it). loved the Primordia score.

if Crispin could use his face to flip the record over and have both in there that would be the best of all worlds. ^_^
probably the same chances of probability of a dual gramophone tracks as Crispin's ability to do it though.

of course that remixed/enhanced demo version showed up on a Primordia b-side/EP i wouldnt hate that at all.
but both those things would be more trouble to do im sure.

definitely glad the full version of it got posted here though.

Really? Do you have a link where this CD can be purchased? Would love to get one, but can only find the digital version!

(getting it out on vinyl like the guys at Amanita tend to do is probably not realistic?)

I don't think a vinyl will happen, alas. A CD should be forthcoming from http://www.sumthing.com/ at some point. That's more the publisher / composer's thing, so I'm not sure about the specifics.

Thanks! That's a familiar label; I'll keep an eye out for it. I'd noticed Bandcamp (which hosts the digital version) also started offering CDs and even vinyl as options, but it all depends on demand I guess.
