You move an icon of an Egyptian to a game selected spot on the cloud covered map and wait. a few turn later it reveal the map with icons for crops, and hammers? then your icon goes back to it's little box and waits for you to move it to another spot already selected for you and wait.

Repeat above and repeat above and you discovered a tribe. you have options. However, the consequences and costs are not known. so, being the nice guy that I am, I want to negotiate peace. now I get a message over and over again saying we don't have the resources to negotiate with the tribe. When I click on the message, I get a close or go to button. the go to, puts me over the tribe, and I see the hammer icon and in red is 15. Now my ambassador needs more hammers? how do I get them? No clues (this is the first of the beginner scenarios), and the game offers nothing in the way of help.

Next, while all the above continues, I have a tribe that has found me, and they want to attack. I have x turns to persuade them not to. I have no idea where they are. The game offers a couple of options that I have no idea how to do, and of course, the game and the guys who made it are no help at all.

During all the above, you're also doing research. you have 3 options. finish one, now you have 2 remaining two options, then the one, then 3 again then 2 again then the one remaining until the game gives you 3 options again. Exciting as watching paint dry.

At some point during all this, you get the OPTION to multiply. That's right, you have birth control. I guess that crocodile dung thing archeologist tell us about actually worked? It's just weird.

I don't get the purpose? is it to figure out how the game works? It's not fun to me. It's not entertaining, it's not educational, it's not challenging as I don't find it involving, it's not thought provoking, and it's not pretty. What can the purpose possibly be? My $5? Then they got me.
git gud
Tutorials are there for a reason. C'mon, if I understood the game, anyone can.

I played the game. I don't see the point. What's not to understand? From my point of view, it offers nothing. I ask, what is the point and you can't answer except to insinuate that I can't understand it. You c'mon. that's moronic.

Seems to me you don't understand how to play, which can be a huge factor in appreciating a game. If you had followed the tutorial you would know those things.

Now the point ? Get to the end of course.

I'm not familiar with that kind of game but I can understand it being boring. However having played multiples playthrough since I bought it I now see that things can go terribly wrong, you can not get enough ressources at X turn, you can get a boost at Y turn that give you a big advantange just for you to loose the game due to an excess of confidence. While you still only drag icons to others icons the outcome are not always the same, there's still a bit of randomization.

Well, it's a light 4X game. There's plenty of games like that out there, it's not the best, it's not the worst. I'll admit that some people reported that there's a perfect way to play that could assure you a net victory, that would mean the game plays more like a puzzle. It's an android port, too, and I can easily see that as being a con. Being only two maps and having one scenario I understand people that wanted more. But for 5 bucks ? It's a decent entry.

Now, I don't like Visual Novels, Multiplayers games nor FPS but I don't go buying them to complain after. There's a demo for Predynastic Egypt on GoG, you should have tried it before hand if the screenshots and the video weren't enough. That's what I did and while being short, it's still provided me with enough informations to get me to buy the full version.

If you don't like that genre it's fine, it's also fine to not like the game, I just don't understand why complaining about mechanisms that are explained in the tutorials are a concern here.
just a whinger who sucks at this type of game then bashes it. game over, cya, didnt need ya.

Hey! Great! I buy something just to troll and tell others that they bought poop - cause if ME dont like it - it must be shit.
Wow. Man. You´re so .... amazingly fresh in the melone.
Edit: Aaaahh... i see. "United States"...
That explains a lot. To anyone outside of the United States. And... if i dont like the USA, it has to be poop. Dont complain, it´s your own logic, isn´t it.

The game require an intellect about your speed it seems. for me, it's below infantile and its down right boring. I can't see a point to it, and asking here gets the childish fan boys upset. None of you have bothered do anything other than run me down for my comments. then you show your bigotry by your USA comments you little pig.

Third time, what is the point? none of you can say what the point is. But hey, it's far more fun to belittle and demean someone for not going with the flow here, is it not? This garbage should be public domain not out with a price tag.

you bring nothing here but an argument. I have an opinion, your attempts to silence me with name calling won't work little girls.

I didn't see the demo. I have played 4X games since the early 1980. In fact, I played games on mainframes in the 70s using ascii characters that were far more fun that this. You don't know me, you don't know my expediences, yet you try to tell me what an awful person I am every time I post on gog. I have over 300 games on gog. I know games. You know nothing. Little tiny minds with a computers. pitiful.

I tried to remain civil, despite the name calling and cursing. But, eventually, a person has to stand up for himself. Curse at me and call me names, I took that. Show bigotry towards me and my country, I return return the complement. Although, I didn't sink to that level with your fanboys. You couldn't send me an email? you couldn't message me in some other way than to single me out in an international forum and berate me? More anti-American bigotry? Now I get you all.

I agree. So far haven't even been abl to figure out the basics, and, indeed, the game didn't even boot on the second trial.
