Oddheads: Just had this conversation with one of the RWS guys:

"RWS: We can't confirm or deny anything just yet, so unfortunately I can't give any specifics.
But we're working on it.

Me:Oh good, it'll happen at some point in the future then?

RWS: Like I said, I can't confirm that. All I can say is that we'd like to make it happen, but there's no guarantee right now."

So I guess maybe it's happening...maybe? I suppose don't get your hopes up and such.

skeletonbow: Just a restatement of what they've already said here before with a bit of a "no guarantee" backpedal added in. Nothing to get excited about really, nothing has changed except 12-18 month passage of time or so since they said it before.
I guess just play Postal 1 or 2 for now if you want some GOG Postal fun.
You could also play Postal 3. That didn't make it to GOG either, but there are disc copies available on Amazon.
Last time someone from RWS was on here they said something about the games being on here before Christmas. Don't know if that's accurate anymore, but if they don't show up here by then, I guess they aren't coming at all. Also, aren't all Postal 3 discs just Steam installers?

Maybe last Christmas... Either way talk and wishful thinking is cheap (as No Man's Sky has shown us). I'd say "believe it when I see it" but that wouldn't be true either.

They've never said anything about bringing Postal 3 here, and I'm pretty sure GOG would turn it down anyway considering it is a horrible flop that even RWS straight up tells people "do not buy Postal 3" on their own website, and even has multiple jokes about Postal 3 inside the newer Postal 2 content. For example, in Postal 2 you can find a copy of Postal 3 in a garbage dump or something like that, and if you pee on it something funny happens, I forget the details but you could find it with Google I imagine. It's a little "Postal 3 sucks" easter egg.

So yeah, don't expect Postal 3 to show up here. :) A friend had it and I tried it once and it is genuinely terrible.

Owner of a disc cppy of Postal 3 myself, bought it a few yesrs back, before RWS stopped selling it. Personally, I liked it. The regen health system was a pretty bad idea, the escort AI is a bit broken, and at the last minute of development the Russian devs replaced the Postal Dude's character model (which had been made by RWS) with their own model, which was nowhere near as good. Thankfully the original model can be restored with a mod.

So yeah, I do agree Postal 3 has it's issues but I still enjoyed it for what it was, and it's odd sense of humour appealed to me. If they'd fixed the issues I mentioned above, I'd gladly give Postal 3 a 7/10. Postal 1 and 2 are still better, but Postal 3 certainly isn't bad.

I'm sure others may agree with your assessment, but RWS themselves despise the game to the point to try to convince people not to buy it and that's saying something. Add to that my own personal experience playing it along with the 39% approval rating on Steam at the moment and well... that's saying something bigger. :oP

Funny enough, Postal 3 is more highly rated than No Man's Sky at the moment and the latter slowly continues to drop. Now that's both surprising and not surprising at all at the same time. hehehe

RWS doesn't have a say on whether the game could come here or not (at least, not for the time being), as development/publishing is handled by Akella. In fact, one of the reasons that RWS have disowned the game, is because Akella wouldn't let them fix it.

As for GOG definitely rejecting it, I'm not so sure about that. "But Grargar, it's a terrible game!" Sure, but so are Earthworm Jim 3D, Kingdom: The Far Reaches, the once-present, but now-removed Simon the Sorcerer 4 and other examples.

I believe that If Akella requested that the game be released here in exchange for, say, further installments in the Sea Dogs series, GOG would bite the bullet and release Postal 3, leading to the usual complaint-filled threads about curation and rejection.

TBH, I have played Postal 3 before, and I think the Grargar game you referred to above sounds more interesting. :)

TBH, I'd take Postal 3 any day rather than play Earthworm Jim 3D.

Wow, I can't argue with that for sure. :) I think even No Man's Sky might beat out Earthworm Jim 3D. But then again, maybe not too. :)
Any news about this? It is more than a year since the answer on Steam (february 2016), yet still nothing.

Did they change their mind?
I guess RWS and GOG can't quite come to an agreement.
I bought Postal Redux on Steam, and it is pretty much the original Postal with improved graphics, and the controls work better on a modern computer then the original.
No Redux yet? :(

M3troid: No Redux yet? :(
They were too busy with Postal 4, and by too busy I mean they were porting Redux to the Switch instead. Like most devs they dgaf about GoG users.
