Great! Will there be an update to Postal 2 as well?
Is anyone else having problems trying to rebind the controls in Postal 1? I'm in the Mouse Setup section, and it won't let me rebind the Strafe keys to LMB or RMB. Is there another way to do this?
I doubt this will change my mind about the game as a whole, but I'm glad for the update.

damien: So does this now include the 10th Anniversary Collector's Edition?

JudasIscariot: What does that edition include?
good question :) I guess nothing extra contentwise. Anyone feel free to prove me wrong though
Huh, I may actually give it another try. I'm not too fond of Postal either way but still, maybe the game will actually become somewhat enjoyable now that the biggest issues are gone.

Mostly extras and goodies. You can see it here.

it turns out according to Ophelium's link it does contain "four classic user mods (including A Very Postal Christmas and Eternal Damnation". Any possibility of getting that?
While it'd be nice to have them nicely packaged, they're readily available. GOG even put up a Mod Spotlight. I've tried Eternal Damnation and thought it was pretty cool and scary (though I scare easy).

Yes, the massively enhanced Postal 2 feature updates that were released on Steam last summer are slowly making their way here also. The developer has indicated they're working on a patch for Steam first, then they're rolling it up into a release for GOG of which they originally announced in Dec. No date given but presumably sometime in the next few months unless they are delayed or drop the ball. :) Best part of the updated game is that you can find a copy of Postal 3 in the junkyard and pee on it. :)
Mouse still doesn't work, I can't input anything in the mouse menu.
We'll take a look at the mouse issues some of you are having.

POSTAL 2 updates will come fairly soon now, we are just about to roll out the workshop update for Steam and then we'll get to work modifying it to work with GoG.

We wanted the GoG (and all DRM free people) to have all the features of the Steam version. This means all workshop mods will work with GoG with a manual install, and you also get a full in game achievement system.

Oh and thanks to the GoG team for their diligence in helping us update our build of the game.

JudasIscariot: Hi all,

We have uploaded new installers for both Mac and PC that contain a recently updated version of Postal Classic and Uncut. Please download these installers as soon as you can so you can enjoy the fixed game :D

Changelog:

Windows only change log

-Left turn now works correctly when using the keyboard

-Corpses no longer spin on the spot when they have died

Better-behaved game file handling (not writing to install dir, etc),

Windows / Mac change log

-Changed the controls from the arrows keys to the more standard WADS set up.

-OpenGL and Direct3D support. This gives you a more consistent
framerate, and more importantly, it lets you use overlays in games using
chat clients such as Xfire and Raptr, and also makes recording the game
possible using programs like Fraps.

-Much better sound quality

-The right and middle mouse buttons work now and can be configured in
the mouse input menu.

-Basic game controller support

-Lots of bug fixes.

Thanks and have a nice day :)

I don't think there was a version number given for this update :)

tinyE: Wait a minute. I kind of liked the spinning corpses. So many dead bodies these days just lay around and do nothing. I feel this game was groundbreaking in showing that just because someone is dead doesn't mean they can't break dance! Thumbs down on this fix guys.
LOL! XD

Hi Toploader, just saw a post in the Postal 1 GOG forum suggesting that the GOG version of Postal Classic and Uncut doesn't have the extra levels any more (I think this means the Special Delivery expansion pack which the GOG page still advertises). I would imagine that this is since the latest version with the patches to fix the various bugs.

Can you confirm this?
