Does anyone have any clue or links in solving the image constantly flickering ? It's extremely annoying.

You can try software mode, but if you want to continue with hardware mode, try shutting off any programs that might be updating in the background before launching the game.
Found a fix. Don't use the GOGLauncher or GOGSetup files. Running Populous at 1024x768 @ 32bpp using the D3DPopTB.exe executable and am getting zero screen flicker. :)

I still have screen flicker tried some nvidia settings didn't help. Runned the game from it's main 3d exe and it still flickers.
Am on windows xp sp3 and have an integrated 6150 nvidia geforce 256mb
How do you run populous the beginning at 1024x768?
Mine only goes to 800x600 ingame
My previous older pc didn't have this problem.
So if i run it through the shortcut gog provides it doesn't work on first try but second try and i can then set higher resolution than 1024x768 but it still flickers.
Maybe i will have to continue playing it in software mode then.

The GOG copy is super broken and the version I'm using is no longer offered for download anywhere. The only recommendation is to play in software mode, or search the internet for less reputable copies that actually work properly and get supported.
