Why this ddraw fix hasn't been added to the mod guide?
http://www.shsforums.net/topic/48732-ddraw-fix/

Maybe because the fix seems incompatible with WinXP?
WIdescreen mod isn't working for me. I installed at my native desktop resolution 1920X1080 and it ran, but it was way too zoomed out to be playable. So I reinstalled it using 1366X768. This didn't change the zoom at all, it kept the same massively zoomed out perspective as 1920X1080, but it just stuck the display it in a rectangle in the middle of the screen surrounded by black bars on the top and sides.

you must uninstall first before changing to another resolution. I believe there are uninstall command.
I'm getting an error during installation of Ghostdog's UI-mod, "copy torment.exe failed: cannot open target". The stuff with the fonts afterwards worked, though. Does this make any difference?

Apparantly it does, everything is small. What to do?

Edit: Nevermind, works now. Just had to adjust the resolution in the patch before.

I'm having a little bit trouble with "Step 3" of the modding guide. After extracting the Ultimate WeiDU Fixpack in the game directory and clicking on the setup file, the window, where I should enter my language and choose the three items, is popping up and closing down. Can't do anything and afterwards the setup file is gone. I tried to run the setup file as an administrator, but the same thing happens. I'm using Win7 64bit. Does anybody know a solution to this?

Somehow the UI-patch got disabled; and I had random crashes when entering locations...
Wanted to re-install everything, but, again, with Ghostdog's UI-mod i get the error "copy torment.exe failed: cannot open target"... What is this?

That is my current problem as well.
I seem to have fixed the issue by extracting onto my desktop, turning off my virus protection then copying the files into the gog folder and then running the program.

So I installed the widescreen mod for all my Infinity engine games, and when I play them, everything seems to be... melting. It starts fine but instantly starts to melt and go blurry. When I click a button it becomes clear for a split second, then melts away again.

Anyone know why this is happening?
Do these mods work with old saves?
No, they don't, you need to start over.
Might contain some minor spoilers from the very beginning of the game.

I'm wondering if one of the mods is causing a bug on my Ps:T. I'm unable to interact with some characters. For example one of the giant skeleton guards in the mortuary and a woman (the one who tells you more about the burning wizard) in a bar in the south east part of the city. I can click them with the dialogue cursor, but TNO won't do anything. What's even worse, the dead ghost woman in the mortuary didn't appear.

The problem can be fixed by loading the game or by exiting and re-entering the area. I'm still in the first city, so I don't know how big the problem is. But I'm afraid I'll miss some important character, if more of them are invisible due to a bug.

She only appears if certain conditions are met. I didn't have any invisible characters in my game.

The problem with TNO not initiating dialogue. Yes, that happend to me a couple of times, save/reload, no big deal since it's pretty obvious that something should happen.
Actually, I might have had a related bug. A portal towards the end of the game didn't appear. The portal was there, Nordom kept yelling about it, but it just wouldn't show. That was pretty frustrating, nothing worked until I kicked everyone out of my party and had them rejoin.
Anyway, expect bugs, it's an old game designed for a different OS, but ask here and more often than not you'll probably get a solution.
I'm going to post this here since it took me forever to find the link. It is basically the same info posted on the PST GoG mod guide, but has some other details and some good troubleshooting as well.

Hope this helps someone.

cordas: went for 1440x900 (16:9) and it looks great but thanks for the advice.
Wrong, 1600x900 is 16:9, 1440x900 is not.
