I have just stepped into the cavernous mess under the city, gone through the trash warrens and passed that hulking idiot guarding the gate, on my way to find some kind of orb. Finally i know where to find the darned rat tails i was seeking all over the place above ground. Well, this game isn't going the way i thought it would as I have found nothing that hits for more than three and i cant find or buy many bandages, blood items , etc for healing, nor is there cash for anyone to find so far as I can tell. Got Morte and the creepy Chaos dude. Every single fight we all die, one cranium rodent is enough to take us all out, cant rez anyone either- making my life terribly tormented. What did i miss? Was there armor or weapons i should have seen above ground, around the area i am now exploring? I did find 500+ cash down here but i cant use it if we all die every 30 seconds. Strangely enough if i needed a dagger that hits for 3 then I am set since that i can find anywhere and everywhere, along with brass rings and earrings and rags. Is it possible my game is stuck in a feedback loop for the looting table? really, I thought there would be something in the way of armor by now. Someone offer a constructive advise please. ( WIS / INT over 14 all else around 12)

There is no armor at all for TNO, DAk'kon or Morte in the game, you're playing characters with personality not animated armor carriers.

You don't need healing stuff, just rest. In combat make sure that TNO is the only one to die, he'll awake unharmed in a safe spot with all equipment intact, you can have him die as often as you want.
Dak'kon can cast spells, read the spell descriptions and use them effectively. There's a spell which sets his AC low so he won't get hit that often, there's a spell which raises strength for more damage, ...

Be aware that running is also an option, only one party member has to reach the edge of the map to travel to another area.

If an area is too hard explore another one, return to surface and search quests you can do there for improving.

If your character can't resurrect dead party members you should return to the mortuary ground floor and talk with Deionarra there about everything until you get this special ability.

Very useful for improving TNO's combat efficiency is spending his unused proficiency points, find Porphiron, do his quest and he'll offer to teach you how to use them, it does make a huge difference whether you have 0, 1 or 2 proficiency points in the weapon type you're using.

Another quest you should do is helping a women named Ingress, you'll get an extremely useful reward.

Your humanoid party members can buy and equip tattoos to improve their stats.

As you progress through the game you'll find more powerful items and companions, don't worry.

Raise only wis and con when you level up. With higher wis you'll get more XP and a luck bonus, raising con up to 14 will only increase the regeneration rate a little but raising it higher will increase it even more and yield many extra hitpoints.
I'd use the next 3 level ups to get wis to natural 17 and wear a tattoo which adds +2 wis for 19 and raise con afterwards until the character doesn't feel too weak anymore.

ok good to know there is no armor i should be finding, not really sure how to make only NO die but i suppose that is part of the learning curve to the game.
I run away as much as I can, but i cannot kite for sh** so not much i can do in an enclosed space :)
I would love to return to the surface, but that buttface at the gate locked it and won't let us leave. I spent 5 nights (about 30 hours ) doing the surface and I found Dionnarra and got the rez ability, just can't rez right now because i died 15 times and used my allotment for the day already. I found and helped Ingress but after I didnt notice an exceptional reward- might have missed that. I did get the 'law' tatoo from a guy in the buried city but the tattoos in the dabus' shop are too expensive and they do not show what they improve when I right click to see the description. Vendors in the market do not buy the crapola i have to sell- everything is red on the selling side . I have to wonder if since i used the mods except the widescreen one and the one right after that, if I am missing something. I know i could turn on the 'rest anywhere' feature, so maybe I could do that at least. i have plans to raise the stats in wis and con, but where am I supposed to look for the unused proficiency points? so far I have only seen auto level up things that i have to accept to move on. I might have overlooked something it seems. Thanks for any additional advise.
Ingress left her teeth when she left, Morte can equip them as weapon to do more damage, you can even tell them to improve depending on Morte's level.

If you have healing items other party members can use don't waste them on TNO, he regenerates on his own.

Not all merchants buy everything and you find lots of unsellable useless crap early on.
To get the money for buying tattoos early (and some experience) you can kill some of the endlessly respawning street thugs and loot them, as the game progresses you'll find other places to grind XP and money but it's not necessary.

Unused proficiency points can be seen in TNO's character description, fighters gain one every 3 levels, other party members assign them automatically.

Once you've returned to the surface you'll have more options available, now you have to find the thing for Pharod first.

If nothing else works you can kill one monster - die - return to kill the next until all of them are gone or you've gained so many XP and levels that they aren't a threat any more. Try to fight the monsters one by one, if only one sees your party only one attacks, wait for them to approach and lure them away instead of charging head-on and activating others.
