Hello.

I downloaded bigg's widescreen mod and had it set at 1366x768. It worked fine (video at the top left corner) when I ran Planescape.

Next, I downloaded Ghostdog's .exe. But when I tried to open the file, an error message was shown saying:

The version of this file is not compatible with the version of Windows you're running. Check your computer's system information to see whether you need an x86 (32-bit) or x64 (64-bit) version of the program, and then contact the software publisher.

I'm running Wiindows 7, 64-bit.

Does anyone have any ideas as to what could be the problem?

Make sure you run it as admin (right-click the file and select "Run as administrator")

I already did. It didn't work. It could be that the link was corrupted or broken.
A broken download is a possible cause. I'd also check for background software capable of interfering with files or slowing down the system, like AV protection (I assume you've tried rebooting Windows and that didn't help).

(Don't remember having to run this with compatibility settings on that OS, but those might work for you...)

Try running the installer in compatibility mode. Right-click it and select Properties, then select the Compatibility tab and set the mode you want to try.

Another cause of this could be, that the installer relies on some old 16 bit libraries, which don't run on 64 bit machines, no matter what. However, I'd surprised if Ghostdog would have done so, as the mod isn't that old. Make sure you're using Ghostdog's official release and the newest version.
Thank you everyone for all the replies.

The problem is solved, and I've managed to download all three mods (widescreen, UI, fixpack for bugs/grammar). And they all work when I run Planescape.

Surprisingly, the problem seems to be that the download was broken. I downloaded the latest version of GhostDog's mod (v.2.2) from Spellhold Studios. That didn't work, so I downloaded it again, this time from Mod DB. That also didn't work. I finally came upon another website (Bootstrike), which had the older version (2.1). And that worked fine.
