It doesn’t work with the GOG version because it”s still on 1.9.1. The code works only with version 1.9.2. That update has been made available e.g. on Steam over a week ago.

Would be nice if GOG wouldn’t be handled as 2nd rate platform again.

I asked about this in the Snapshot Games forum, and I got no official reply so far. Either Snaphsot hasn’t updated the GOG version yet, or the GOG team is taking their sweet time with their curation process.
You need to start a new game as well for code to have effect. Old saves even on the proper version will not work with it.

The problem is that we can’t even redeem the code in the first place.

Even with the recent version? Offline installer of the game had updated to version 1.9.4 before the NY.

The GOG version numbering is different from the official one, apparently The latest patch notes on both Steam and GOG are for version 1.9.1. For some weird reason, the GOG installer version number has been 3 versions ahead for a little while.. So, officiial version 1.9.0 was 1.9.3 on GOG.
