Um this is my first post here. I recently bought Pharaoh/Cleo after being totally addicted to it years ago and have been playing it A LOT. Over the last few games I've noticed that I no longer get any blessings from the gods after throwing festivals or adding temples. Not sure why/what to do? Seems like a glitch with the game to me. Wondering whether a reinstall would help or whether there are any patches that I need to download?

If you aren't getting blessings, your gods may not be happy enough. Difficulty level (eg Easy/Normal/Hard) and the balance of shrines/temples affects your chance of getting a blessing. Sometimes you might play a mission and get no blessings whatsoever, it's not a bug.

Hmm, you could be right but even when the Gods are super benevolent they aren't giving anything at all? Playing Normal difficulty. And plenty of temples/shrines. Like I said I have played this game for many, many hours and I've never had this happen over 3 missions.

I've just been playing and another thing that happens is that screen messages no longer come up e.g. the one that says "people are immigrating to the city" after a battle has been won.

That sounds like a possible bug, but it should be noted that, when I played this on Normal, it did take a long time to get blessings, but I did get them. However, I have no idea what made them "give the blessings", although I might be confusing this with a Hard difficulty LP I saw on YouTube.

Have you accidentally turned off messages? Can you make a small video of what's happening and upload it to YouTube? It'll be easier for me to see the issue, or you can upload some screenshots here :)

I decided to uninstall and reinstall the game. Luckily when you uninstall it gives the option of saving your game files so I got to keep them and most importantly, it fixed the problem. Thanks for your help though!
Glad to hear your issue was resolved! :)
