I'm hoping someone has an answer to this as I've checked a few walkthroughs, including one on UTube and this problem doesn't appear to exist.

I'm building the city of Rostja with a pyramid complex, smaller pyramid and sphinx. I need to import wood for my carpenters but the city I'm supposed to be able to import it from (Buhen) is not appearing as open for trade.

In the UTube walkthrough I've watched Buhen is open immediately from the commencement of the map.

Is this a bug and if so, what do I need to do?

Thank you

I'm not sure which mission you are watching, Buhen does not trade in the Rostja mission and even if it did, they don't sell wood. A source of wood comes from Byblos, in the far north and it's available from the start of the mission.

You're quite correct, it's right at the top of the screen and I'd not gone quite far enough thinking I'd reached the top of the map. Duh!

The funny thing is on the UTube walkthrough I watched part of, the player had reversed the map, so it looked as if he went South instead of North. As I was looking for a trading city South in the first instance, my brain forgot to reverse the direction this person went in, so it's a double Duh!

Thanks for the prompt reply, it did clarify the situation and was helpful.

p.s. I've decided not to blame it on my brain, but my mouse mat. It's new and my mouse is sticking to it a bit...........

This one. The orientation confused my poor brain! Oh, no, hang on, it was my new mouse mat.... yep, definitely my new mouse mat. :D

Well that's pretty ironic, because that's my own walkthrough haha XD

Sounds like you need a new mouse mat, since that video isn't orientated wrongly, unless your referring to me turning the playarea orientation around :P

Hope the walkthrough is helping ;)

ROFL - yep it was the switch in player orientation that did it!

It's best people don't ask me for directions on a car journey - I can't tell left from right when on the move......

I liked the way you built your city. Mine tend to be more spread out and garden orientated, but I could see the logic in your initial construction and yes - your walkthough was helpful.

Now I'm off to see if I'm going to beat your score......

:D
